This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Dog monitor Doggy («Doggy», the «App»), published by Have a nice day e.U. (the «Company», «we», «us»), collects, uses and protects information when you use the App. By using Doggy you agree to this Policy. The App and this website (app-doggy.com) are operated by Have a nice day e.U.

What the App does

Doggy turns two devices into a pet monitor: one device streams live audio and video (the camera), and another device watches that stream (the monitor). To make this work, the App processes the data described below.

Information we collect

Account identifier. To connect a camera and a monitor, the App creates an account. If you do not register manually, Doggy creates a guest account automatically using a generated e-mail address (for example <id>@app-doggy.com) and a device-based identifier. If you register manually, we store the e-mail address you provide.
Live audio and video streams. When you use a device as a camera, its audio and video are transmitted in real time to the connected monitor device through our streaming server. Streams are used solely to deliver the live monitoring feature between your own devices and are not sold or shared with third parties.
Camera and microphone. The App requests access to your device camera and microphone only to provide the live streaming and two-way sound features. Access is used only while the feature is active.
Recordings you create. If you enable motion or sound detection with auto-recording, send a voice message to the camera device, or the App takes a preview snapshot of the camera, the resulting video, audio or image file is uploaded to our server so that your paired monitor device can play it back. These files are linked to the connection code of your camera and are available only to devices connected with that code. You can delete recordings from the history inside the App.
Device and diagnostic data. We collect non-personal technical information such as app version, device model and operating system, connection type, battery status, country, crash reports and basic usage events, to keep the service reliable.
Push notification identifier. If you enable notifications (e.g. motion or sound alerts), a push token is stored to deliver those notifications to your device.
Purchases. Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Google Play (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS). We do not receive or store your payment card details.

How we use information

To provide the core monitoring feature (connecting your camera and monitor devices and delivering the live stream).
To store and deliver the recordings and snapshots you create, to the devices paired with your camera.
To send alerts and notifications you have enabled.
To operate, maintain, secure and improve the App, and to diagnose and fix crashes.
To manage subscriptions and comply with legal obligations.

Third-party services

Doggy relies on the following service providers, each processing data under its own privacy policy:

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone outside Have a nice day e.U. and the service providers listed above, except where required by law.

Data retention and deletion

Account identifiers are kept while your account exists. Live streams are transient and are not stored on our servers as part of normal monitoring; recordings and snapshots you create are stored until you delete them in the App or ask us to remove them.

You can delete your account at any time in the App menu (Delete account). This closes the account, makes its e-mail address unusable for sign-in and removes the links between your account and your camera devices. If you also want the stored recordings and any remaining records erased, write to us at the address below and we will complete the erasure within 30 days. Details are on our account deletion page.

Children

Doggy is a tool for pet owners and is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or delete your account, by contacting us. You can also delete your account inside the App.
